Adam Davies, founder of Adam James Bespoke, wears a stylish, ethical blue tailored suit

We offer premium British vegan tailoring, made from 100% ethical, eco-friendly materials.

The authenticity and quality in the way that our vegan suits are made have made them the tailoring choice for clients, and not just for those who want to shop more consciously or are determined to stay true to their sustainable lifestyle.

Ethical and eco-friendly fabric alternatives to traditional wool such as bamboo are durable and even crease resistant, which make them a worthy fabric choice for all tailoring styles and occasions – whether that be a new vegan business suit or a vegan wedding suit for your big day.

Customising fabrics with an ethical substitute creates a bespoke and luxurious staple garment that’s future proof, breathable and comfortable. It’s also an incredibly rewarding purchase knowing you’re leaving a responsible carbon footprint in the process.

From our fabrics to buttons, this is premium vegan tailoring.

Plant-based materials & innovative synthetics

Bamboo

In my opinion bamboo cloth looks and feels most like wool. The yarn is made from bamboo fibres making the cloth breathable. Perfect for warm days and travel.

Cotton

Again a comfortable and breathable fabric that is often the choice for a summer suit tailoring. With crease- resistant fabrics now available, for me this is the most appropriate for city wear.

Linen

This classic material is timeless and highly recommended for summer casual suits and formalwear waistcoats. I use the finest-quality linens from the world’s most renowned linen producers.

Velvet

Not the obvious choice for business wear, more your statement piece at an event or occasion. Made up of a cotton/modal blend, this is a great choice for formalwear or a sports jacket.

Canvas

With suits often using a horsehair canvas, which is the interior layer that’s sandwiched in-between the jacket's fabrics and body lining, by swapping this out for a synthetic canvas, I prefer to use a cotton & viscose on my suits. In addition to that I use nylon shoulder pad and synthetic melton which sits underneath the jacket's collar to give the suit that fully constructed tailored look.

Lining

The lining on your suit is an important addition to the overall look and a chance to bring out your personality, poly blend, cupro or viscose linings can be used and come in a variety of colours, prints and designs.

As for buttons, Corozo which is a grain of a nut, can be used to give that clean finish to your suit.

Vegan Weddings

Brilliant black: This three-piece wedding suit was used made with Bamboo material which is the best substitute for wool. It still gives

you a great fitting suit as well as looking slick, because (as I always say) you should be the best dressed on your weeding day.

Your lifestyle, your beliefs - neither should limit your tailoring options when it comes to your wedding day. I offer a premium range of sustainable, bespoke vegan-friendly wedding tailoring options to suit any style. From bamboo to cotton garberdine to velvet and more, I’ve got the fabrics and expertise to style your perfect vegan wedding.

Vegan Casual

Vegan versatility: A sports coat is one of the hardest working garments in your wardrobe because of its adaptability.

It’s less formal than a suit, but great for virtually every occasion.

If you look good, you feel good. Now with my vegan-friendly casual range you can do good too. From lightweight sports jackets to casual tailored shirts and trousers for any occasion, I can create your own tailored style, sustainably. I challenge you to pick any fabric, style or texture and I will match it with a vegan alternative.

Vegan Business

Terrific texture: I love my corduroy suit; it was a fabric that my grandfather used to wear.

This suit I can wear for business as well as broken up to wear singularly as a jacket and trousers with a t shirt.

When it comes to vegan office wear, I mean business. Whether it’s a sharp suit for the office days or a three-piece for a special work occasion, I can source a huge range of vegan-friendly fabrics to suit all styles and tastes. All sustainable and all cruelty-free, to give you total peace of mind. So dress to do business responsibly.

Vegan Seasonal

Cool in warm climes: This casual linen / cotton blend suit is ideal as a suit or separates, especially when worn in summer as it’s breathable

and super comfortable - making it perfect for wear in warmer climates. I often pair with a t-shirt when seeing clients on a hot summers day.

As the seasons change, I’ve got you covered with my range of vegan-friendly seasonal wear. From lightweight summer suits to heavier winter coats and jackets, my sustainable vegan range is 100% natural - even down to the buttons. So whether it’s breathable bamboo, crease-resistant cotton, velvet or something else, my vegan-friendly fabrics will keep you comfortable, whatever the weather.

"The Lone Wolf of Savile Row"
- The London Economic

As a vegan, purchasing an ethical or eco-friendly suit can often be difficult, with most off the peg & made to measure brands often using animal based products in their garments such as wool, silk, horsehair & horn.

I strip back the flannel around tailoring and focus totally on you. No ego, no large store with my name across it or sponsoring celebrities. I’m 100% real to my clients.

I'm not your typical tailor - I fill the gap between high street retail and Saville Row tailoring. I mix highly personalised service, unlimited design choice and quality tailoring.
